Monongahela is the proud home to the beautiful white gazebo in Chess Park. This classic landmark has been the location of many weddings over the years. The park also sees many seasonal festivals and concerts throughout the year like Transfiguration Church Summer Festival and A Dickens of a Christmas. Another landmark is the open-air stage at the Aquatorium along the Monongahela river front. Lots of activity takes place here from picnic lunches, fishing, boating, and also several festivals like the Monongahela Fireman's Carnival, Fleatique on the Mon, and the famous Monongahela Fourth of July Fireworks.
